It's trite to say it's been awhile, but it's been awhile. I've been writing for a fine small paper, The Bethlehem Press; and there's been more than enough to write about. All the news may not be good; but it's there waiting to be dealt with. As I write this, The Sands Casino building is going up beneath the Minsi Trail bridge, some beautiful churches on the South Side--St. Joseph's, Our Lady of Pompeii/Holy Rosary, St. John Capistrano and St. Stanislaus--were recently forced to close; and Musikfest is in the last days of its annual run. More or less unsettling times for Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. But that's been true for many years. I'll be commenting on these and other matters as I return to form. My contacts with the computer and the internet are always exhausting--I seem to have been born with a quill pen in my hand. But with a LOT of help from my friends I managed to succeed in submitting my latest book, Jerusalem Journal, to PublishAmerica. I call it my latest book, but in fact it was my first. I didn't know what to do with it for 30 years; but then some friends read it and liked it. It will be out soon, but I'm not sure when. I've been away for so long that I have been unable to access the old Bethlehem Blog Times, which was my first ever blog. But this will be the Bethlehem and Lehigh Valley continuation. I have another blog, [[http://www.lettersfromlyonesse.blogspot.com]], which takes a wider view of things.
